THE BONUS BASEMENT'S BEST BETS

Just last week, I launched my new portal site to link the forum to. This site will highlight the most popular gaming sites from the forum and eventually contain information about the various software used in the industry today, online gambling tips and strategies, site reviews, and anything else that I may find interesting enough to share. I currently am having a bit of trouble with domain direction, but hopefully this will be worked out during the course of this day. Come on by and check it out: http://bonusbasement.com and if that link doesn't seem to work yet, just click on the title above.

TRIPPIN' BILLY'S BONUS BASEMENT

Groovy little forum representing only the safest online casinos, poker rooms, bingo, sportsbooks, and skill game sites on the web. No deposit codes updated daily, sign up bonuses, contests, catalog, and much more!

Rudeboy's "Lay the Points"

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I just wanted to thank my good friend "Rudeboy" for all of his hard work and support that he has shown to "The Basement".

Many Sportsbooks charge an average of $20 per pick, and Rudeboy seems to be more accurate and consistent with his free winning picks than many of these pay sites. So far this month he stands at 30-27-1. I thought that I would post tonight's pick here on the blog to give everyone a chance to see his fine work:

Good morning bettors. I went 2-3 on last night's picks. I'm now 30-27-1 in May and looking to keep the wins coming for you today.

Let's get back into the win column tonight!

The Boston Celtics have looked just awful on the road during the playoffs. They are in danger of losing their fifth straight road game and having their series with the Cavaliers go back to the Garden tied up. Lebron James has not shot well in the series, but he got a huge lift from his supporting cast last time out.

Cleveland is 6-0 SU and 4-2 ATS at home vs Boston over the last 3 seasons, with 4 of the 6 games going over the total. I look for it to be a close game throughout, as indicated by the current line. Boston's got to find the will to win on the road as they did in the regular season if they want to continue toward the NBA's promised land. Cleveland needs continued strong play from their veterans until Lebron gets out of his shooting funk.

CURRENT LINE: Cleveland Cavaliers +1.5 under/over 181

YESTERDAY'S RESULTS:

Los Angeles Lakers +2 loss

New Orleans Hornets +6 loss

Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5 WIN

Florida Marlins +1.5 $$$ WIN

Baltimore Orioles +1.5 loss

Cleveland Indians -1.5 postponed

TODAY'S FREE PICKS:

Boston Celtics +1.5

Detroit Red Wings -1.5

Florida Marlins +1.5

Chicago Cubs -1.5

Houston Astros -1.5

Minnesota Twins +1.5 $$$

Texas Rangers +1.5

($$$ denotes my play of the day)

GOOD LUCK BETTORS!

Doyle's Room Review by Andy vdZ.

Andy played at the Affiliate Free Roll on April 30, 2008 and this is his review:

Doyle's Room is named after Doyle "Texas Dolly" Brunson. Brunson, is the Babe Ruth, the Michael Jordan, and the Arnold Palmer of poker. He virtually invented the phenomenon that is Texas Hold'em. He paved the way for a sport once viewed to be played by only roughnecks and criminals, but is now played by today's world leaders and top executives.

Doyle's Room offers an excellent loyalty program and easy playthrough bonuses.

Players enjoy over $4,000,000 in monthly freerolls and guaranteed tournaments. Players can also play against Doyle, himself as well as guest pros every Wednesday night in the famous $25,000 Doyles Room Bounty Tournament.

While playing, I noticed that the software (Microgaming) is easy to use, and everything you could wish for in a poker program is offered. The stats while playing are nice and quite helpful, as you can learn from your own statistics as you play.

If you don't know poker yet, you're in the right place. Doyle's is offering a "pokerschool", where you can learn to play poker without losing any money. When you think you're ready, you can buy some chips, and try to beat the other beginners, at the beginner-tables, or try to beat the real pro's!

This was not one of my better games. Nothing was going my way this particular night. I played like 100 hands, and only got 4 times an Ace (connected to a 2 or a 3) and 6 times a pocket pair (66, 88, 99). So it was pretty obvious that I wasn't going to win this game. Just picked up some chips by stealing the blinds, but when I got my first average hand (A 10), I had to play it through and lost it against an AK. Bye bye freeroll. Good Luck at the tables everyone!!

Reefer Poker Review by Andy vdZ.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Here we go, my first little review for Trippin' Billy. I have been playing online poker for about 5 years now, but have never played at this particular site. ReeferPoker.com is a brand new poker site and the main difference between Reefer and the rest is that Reefer Poker offers it's players the ability to use Epassport for transactions. With a name like ReeferPoker, there is no doubt that this will be a premier online poker room for many years to come. At Reefer Poker, there are many freerolls for the new players, every 3 or 4 hours, there will be one you can participate in.

ReeferPoker.com offers you over $160,000 in monthly freerolls and a guaranteed $20,000 tournament every week. Plus a monthly $50,000 guaranteed that always has overlays.

On the last Sunday of every month they host a $50,000 freeroll. All you have to do to get in on the action is earn 5,000 Comp Points during the month to play. While you are earning entry into this massive freeroll, you will also be earning entry into their weekly $10K freerolls, and many more. Over $120,000 in freerolls a month!

A great thing is that you can deposit amounts as low as $10, where other sites only let you deposit 25 or 50 bucks. A nice thing for beginning poker players. Reefer Poker is giving players a deposit bonus of 100 percent up to $500 cash! Bonuses are fairly easy to clear by playing one of the many available cash game tables. The Reefer Poker bonus is released in $20 increments for every 4000 points earned.

My first game there was a $300 freeroll, with 48 players, paid the first 5. It went really great, picking up some nice cards and at one particular moment, I was chipleader and felt something big was going to happen. I got KK when I sat on the big blind. All of the players folded, but the person next to me, on the SB, raised all in. Earlier in the game, he had did this too, so I thought he just wanted me to leave so he could steal my blinds. I called, with my KK. Then the guy shows AA, I felt like I was going through the grind... I didn't hit anything, so I had some little chips in my hand and I threw them away after putting the SB. I finished 8th, very harsh. But that's poker!

April's Welcome Letter

*Note: Man, does time fly! Been caught up with marketing, optimizing, social networking, reading, and of course posting banners and updating info daily. A Webmaster's work is never done. It's been two months since my last blog entry and we are currently up to 248 members! Thanks everyone for making this possible!

Hello All!

Thought it would be about time to update the Welcome Letter, so pardon me while I ramble a bit. My how we have grown! I still consider this a work in progress and there will always be room for improvement. We have made quite a few since our beginnings last October...wow, 6 months and I still have a lot to learn about running a forum. I need you guys to keep me straight and once again I have to shout it: "I NEED YOUR INPUT!!!" If you like this forum, hate it, have any ideas for any improvements whatsoever, please share. A forum can only grow with the help of its members. This is not just an advertising portal, or banner farm to lure you into dropping your hard earned money into every gaming site that comes along. I want to help promote quality sites and steer you clear of the rogues in order to assist in cleaning up the tarnished reputation of this industry.

We here in the states are currently limited on quality gaming sites. I personally am bored with RTG, Rival, and Microgaming. They do offer some fine sites and software, but let's face it...I like pizza too, but every night? I want steak and lobster dammit! In the meantime, until the forces that be make some decisions, and awesome sites like Ladbrokes, Lasseters, Virgin, and all those wonderful Playtech sites stay out of the reach of Americans, we need to stick together and make sure we have a fighting chance at increasing the odds of winning and cashing out.

So, help me out folks...offer your gaming expertise and knowledge to the new folks. Feel free to write a short review on any of the casino boards where you have played. I do plan on launching a portal site eventually and could really use your input to know which sites to focus on for this project.

Now a word about contests. I have had some offers to run new ones, and have thought about making some no-deposit ones available like so many forums do. Honestly, I have been quite disappointed with the results of turnout for previous contests. I had a big tournament planned for non-US players with Ladbrokes, but they are hesitant due to my low numbers with other contests. I really thought the slot tournament with Superior would bring in alot of participants, but it didn't. So, please let me know what you would like to see in the way of future contests. Until I get some ideas and suggestions from you guys, I will just focus on content improvement and other projects and leave the contests up to other forums. Contests are a great way to get more for your buck when it comes to online gambling, so if you want me to start bugging my sponsors for more, let me know!

OK, told ya I was gonna ramble! Now a word of thanks to those that have added to this site and shown great support. First, to my good friend Rudeboy who has provided us with his expertise in picking winners in the sports area. Many sites charge for this info and do not have the ratio of winning picks that he has shown. Awesome job, dude! Hopefully we will get some more sports fans in here...I know we have a few, so we will continue to offer this service and quality sportsbooks. Second, to my good friends at Bonus Paradise...Emma & Sharon! I love you guys, thanks for dropping in and encouraging people to post. I look forward to seeing your little notes on the boards! Jdiggydog...you rock man! Thanks for your posts and sharing your wins with us...keep on gambling! I also would like to thank Andy, our representative in last night's affiliate poker tourney at Reefer Poker for putting up the good fight against some tough competition. He has agreed to write a review of the site and to assist me in getting some more poker players in here. And, of course thanks to such great sponsors as Cocoa Casino & Paradise 8, Simon Says, Intertops, and Superior for the contests that they did provide for us. I have to thank the good folks at Income Access and Bet US as well. These are some great sponsors and are always quick and friendly in responding to my e-mails.

Whew...one last thing, I promise. Got some good news from GPWA today. I was approved for private membership after they reviewed my site and I plan on applying for the seal of approval in the near future. I have been a member of CAP, PAP, and GPWA since I started this site, but a private membership is a big deal to me. It enables me to stay on top of the changes in the industry and provide quality sites to you guys. It also ensures players that I am under constant scrutiny to be ethical and exhibit integrity in all of my business practices.

Well, that's it. Thanks to all of you guys for being a member here and please feel free to e-mail me at tripnbilly@gmail.com if you ever have any questions. I try to be as available to you guys as I possibly can and respond as quickly as I can to your questions.

Welcome New Members and Happy & Safe Gambling Everyone!

Disaster Strikes!

Or rather, Trippin' Billy strikes...my stupid finger managed to hit the wrong thing at the wrong time and poof! My US casino board that I have been working on for the last month vanished into cyberspace. Sucks. So, whatta ya do...rebuild. It will take some time to restore the 300 some banners, reviews, menu board, etc. so I guess instead of bitchin' about it, I should be working on it. Tried gettin' some help from the Proboard forum, but was informed that it is gone and that's that. I hate those kind of responses. You would think something could be done. I hate the way Proboards is set up when you try to delete a board. It's confusing, especially at 5 in the morning before a cup of coffee. There should never be a delete button on a menu like that. Some kind of code should be implemented to delete stuff so that you have to type in a sequence to get a desired result. That's like putting a big "blow up the world" button in the town square without a sign on it hoping that no one would push it. Some idiot is gonna do it. In this case, the idiot was me and fortunately the rest of the world wasn't involved...this time.
